St John'S Lodge Guest House Incl Off-Site Leisure Club - Windermere

The hotel was in a particularly good location right by windermere and bowness, the lake, bus stop, walking distance to ferries and quiet walks, and transport. Variety of food for breakfast, which was outstanding to satisfy everyone.

Spotlessly clean place & professional staff at hospitality.

This little B&B is fabulous! Would highly recommend if you are staying in the Lake District as it is mid way between Windermere and Bowness and only 15 minutes walk to the lake. The standard plus double room was beautiful and was spotlessly clean and the choice of breakfasts was excellent. Staff very friendly too. No better place to stay in the Lakes! In fact is was so nice, we stayed an extra night! ;o)

Nothing bad to say about this B&B at all!

We stayed at st Johns lodge for 3 nights the staff was so helpfull, the breakfast superb,position of hotel betwen Boness and Windermere 10min walk and most of all the cleanes of the hotel eccelent. I recomend others to stay at this small but lovely Lodge.

Went with friends. They stayed in one of the newly refurbished King rooms. wow! Largest room I've ever seen anywhere in The Lakes and it had 2 TVs. It also had a fabulous big bathroom with a power shower. We had a budget room which was a lot smaller with a small bathroom but it suited us perfectly. It was well maintained and exactly as described on the web site. We all of course enjoyed the legendary breakfast. Quality as well as quantity if you want it. You can see why they win awards. Will definately be back. Well done Barry and Sue for making our stay so enjoyable.

The staff were very helpful & attentive, & gave us advice on walks & places to eat. The breakfast menu was excellent. I would cetainly recommend this guest house.

The en-suite in the bedroom we stayed in was very small.

Fantastic breakfast with a huge choice of options (including vegetarian and gluten free). Very clean, well run b&b with the friendliest owners you could hope to meet. The location is great for touring the lake district and loads of great restaurants are within 5/10 minutes walk.

We had a exellent stay the hosts were very friendly and helpfull, the location was good .The room was clean and warm ,the breakfast was exellent and varied. We would urs this hotel nagain.

Definitely a great spot for a weekend getaway focused on city strolls and enjoying nature.

The Staff were so friendly andhelpful, The room was spotlessly clean, very spacious and wonderfully comfortable. Breakfasts were amazing, a range that would not be out of place in a top spec gourmet hotel, all locally sourced, totally fresh and wonderfully cooked.

We liked the convenient location, very friendly, helpful staff and excellent choice of food. The preserves were all home made and delicious.

A Cozy Gem in Windermere!

What a good experience! Our superior double room was a haven of comfort, and the staff's warm welcome. I highly recommend the hearty breakfast and seeking their recommendations for local attractions-they did not disappoint!

St john's lodge was awsome! The staff was super friendly and helped us with everything. Breakfast was like the best ever, so many choices and the room was clean and comfy. Plus, it's in a perfect spot close to everything, like windermere and bowness. Loved the extra touches, like umbrellas at the door for rainy days.

the bed was a bit too hard for my liking and the check-in was kinda confusing at first.

The owners are delightful and the two long serving staff are too. As a coeliac on a gluten free diet it is wonderful to have a big choice on the breakfast menu.A lovely touch too to have home made gf biscuits on the bedroom drinks tray.
